Ashley, a born and raised Winnipegger, is a creative professional currently living in Edmonton, Alberta, working for a non-profit organization as a digital communications specialist.
With her diploma in creative communications from Red River College, she began her broadcasting career in 2012. Her passion for journalism and television news brought her as far north as Dawson Creek, British Columbia, before landing in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
In 2019, Ashley transitioned into a communications role, equipped with an expertise in visual storytelling, in the city known for its 330 days of sunshine.
To keep busy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she enrolled at the University of Winnipeg to continue her studies, virtually. In June 2024, Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications, making the Dean’s Honour List and adding the Student of Distinction notation to her final transcript.
With an insatiable appetite for more, she launched Hazel Eye Creative in 2021, a freelancing business focused on building brands and creating content through digital designs.
In 2022, she jumped at the opportunity to work with a government agency, dedicated to keeping communities throughout the province safe.
Ashley prides herself on living an active life. When she’s not camping or hiking in the Alberta backcountry, you’ll find her at the gym or cuddling on the couch with her two dogs, Daphnne and Charlotte.
